We were by the sea on a fine hot summer’s day, reliving our childhood. We entered the sweet shop to the aromas of strawberry cream candy, pineapple chunks, fuzzy peach candy and finally we decided to buy a caramelised banana ice cream in a chocolate cone. The taste neat was lively and entertaining; dark chocolates with a stem ginger centre or a runny, sweet and lightly salted caramel core. Diluted we reached for a tangy lemon ice cream with plenty of lemon zest and juice whilst on the palate, a crisp apple dipped in gooey caramel and crunchy rainbow sprinkles.
